BIO
Kammy Leung is a graduate in Master of Architecture in the University of Melbourne. She receives distinction in most of her design studios and research subjects, and obtain satisfactory in applied construction and architectural practice. Apart from these, she has years of training in building technologies, environmental sustainability and computer aided programmes when she studied in Bachelor of Architecture in Chu Hai College of Higher Education (chArch) in Hong Kong. Furthermore, she conducted few research on modern architecture, history of Chinese architecture and sustainable design technologies during she studies. Her architectural knowledge is focused and intense.
Apart from striving for high standard of academic works, Kammy also cooperated with public organization and professionals. While she was a vice chairman of Architectural Student Association in chArch in 2009-10, she initiated collaboration between the Association and the Hong Kong – Guang Dong Youth. They organized a series of educational field trips for primary and secondary schools’ students. In 2010, Kammy was
an awarded student participating in the Hong Kong Institute of Architects Green Tour. In addition to the chance of joining workshops with professionals, she received firsthand knowledge in different aspects of the architectural profession. Following the tour, they published an article which was prized for the HKIA Journal Best Award.
After graduating from chArch in 2012, Kammy worked as a junior designer in davidclovers (now known as plusClover). This professional experience trained her 3-dimensional design thinking in response to space, usage, construction and fabrication. Apart from assisting directors, David Erdman and Clover Lee, with their conceptual design presentation, she completed several detail design and construction management projects as well. Kammy later became a research assistant at the Department of Architecture, HKU under David’s appointment in late 2014. She organized the layout and produced diagrams for the monograph of davidclovers.
